About

The LWWF honors Lisa Elaine Woods Washington, who left us far too soon. The intention was to create an organization that would encompass and serve who Lisa was as well as her passions. One was playing tennis, which she started as an adult. She encouraged anyone to pick up a racquet and learn the game.

Lisa also valued education, a central focus of her life and time. An excellent student in her own right, she embodied academic achievement through the countless hours she volunteered at her daughter’s school. Along with many career accomplishments, she also started her own daycare school with her partner, June Estelle. The LWWF scholastic achievement programs support education through classroom resources and scholarships.

Spirit: Lisa touched everyone she met with her generous spirit. Always happy, she had an affectionate effect on others.

Our Mission

The Foundation serves to reduce the educational gap by providing youth educational resources to assist in scholarship achievement, along with promoting health and fitness through the sport of tennis.
