Criteria For An Individual

  • Youth between the age of 5 and 18 that reside in the Atlanta Metropolitan area

  • Demonstrated commitment to scholastically achieve

Requirements:

  • Please include, complete application.

  • Please see the attached pdf file.

  • Essay – limited to 500 words

  • 2 letters of recommendations

  • Interview required of semifinalists

Essay Question:

  1. Please provide a personal statement about you. Tell us about your academic desires and goals, what is impeding your ability to achieve scholastically? Where do you see this achievement taking you in the future? Or

  2. Please provide a personal statement about you. Tell us about your interest in tennis and specific goals. What is restricting you from reaching your goal? Why do you like tennis or what qualities/skills can achieve from this sport?

 

Criteria For An Organization

  •  Atlanta Metropolitan organization that works with youth aligned with the mission of the LWWF

Requirements:

  • Essay limited to 500 words

  • Interview required of semifinalists (and site visit)

​

Essay Question:

  1. Please provide a personal statement about your organization. What is it doing with youth between the ages of 5 and 18 to academically achieve? Describe your organization’s philosophy on how to instill drive into young people. Or

  2.  Please provide a personal statement about your organization. Tell us about how your organization intends to further promote youth tennis? Why is it important to promote this sport? What are the life-long qualities youth can obtain through this sport?
