Our Programs

Although several community-based programs need support, LWWF currently supports Educational Support and Health and Wellness.

Educational Support

Lisa’s parents, William and Janice Woods, were lifelong teachers. Lisa was a champion for education and a continuous learner, not only for herself but also for others. Throughout her academic career, she excelled. A graduate of Southfield High School in Southfield, Michigan, and Howard University (honors/cum laude) in Washington, D.C., Lisa understood the important role that education plays in one’s life and instilled this value in others.

LWWF recognizes and supports scholastic achievement. Our programs make resources available, which will aid academic performance and honor ambitious achievers. The LWWF focuses resources on recognizing those youth who aspire to learn.

Health and Wellness

Tennis was a major pastime for Lisa. She loved the game, and her love for tennis inspired her daughter and other young players to play. The Lisa Woods Washington Foundation was created to provide youth tennis programs to underrepresented youth and communities.

Tennis can be a great resource for fitness, networking and socialization throughout your entire life. If you aspire to become a professional or just want to play recreationally, everyone can enjoy tennis. The LWWF focuses resources on advancing youth tennis.
